Specializing in the international and national corporate practice Henk focuses on national and international (re)structurings of family-owned businesses, joint ventures and healthcare organizations. He advises industry organizations on their internal structures but also families on estate planning.
Henk is a member of the Royal Notarial Association and Vereeniging Handelsrecht and was a lecturer at the vocational training institute for the notarial profession. Having obtained a degree in notarial law from Leiden University in 1977 and an LLM from Columbia Law School in 1978 Henk began his career as a junior civil law notary. Between 1989 and 2011 he was a civil law notary in successively The Hague, Rotterdam and Amsterdam.
Henk holds several other positions at local, regional as well as national levels and is also a deputy justice with the Court of Appeal of The Hague.
