Real Property Notarial Practice
Land and space are scarce commodities. In the Netherlands the use of land and space is regulated by a complicated set of laws and regulations, which are stringently applied to both acquisition and development.
The (junior) civil law notaries and paralegals of the real property notarial practice are concerned with all the aspects of (commercial) real property. We advise clients on the acquisition and sale of commercial real property and private homes, the creation of securities, division into apartment rights, sale by auction and by (public) sale, ground lease, project financing and development, inner city (re)development and real property structures. Our staff assists clients in negotiations and the drafting or reviewing of contracts. Moreover, for the transaction practice we perform due diligence investigations into real property.
With a staff or more than twenty, the Real Property Notarial Practice has two divisions: Real Property and Foreclosure.
Specific areas of attention in The Hague are commercial real property, private real property, auctions, division into apartment rights, mortgages, (reissue of) ground lease and advice.
The structure of our real property practice enables us to work in teams on projects. We often work together with other disciplines and lawyers of other sections, such as tax consultants. This close cooperation allows for meticulous attention to the optimisation of structures tax-wise and legally. A sound example is the combination of civil law and legal practice.
Our staff has a profound and extensive knowledge of the real property market and as such has a wealth of experience in advising and counselling all parties involved. We represent companies, public authorities and private individuals. Our main clients are project developers, housing corporations, investors, authorities and banks.
The Real Property Notarial Practice of course offers high-quality and expedient legal assistance. This is one of the reasons that our real property practice is one of the largest and most diverse in The Hague and environs.
